Commenting on the acquisition Neal P Turner, Managing Director of Deltron Roxburgh said, "This acquisition clearly signals our intent to become a major player in the electromechanical distribution arena and with the addition of the Hawnt portfolio we have been able to fill most of the gaps that existed in our product range.
Both Deltron and Hawnt have grown and developed through design-in and demand-creation and the similarities between the companies will further enhance our appeal to customers and suppliers alike".
Gordon Campbell, Managing Director, Hawnt Electronics added, "This is an extremely positive and strategic milestone in the history of Hawnt.
The philosophy of both companies is remarkably similar, focusing very much on core product ranges with a particular emphasis on the design-in side of the business.
Our customers will be offered a far greater breadth of product ranges and our suppliers will benefit from the fact that we are now part of a rapidly expanding and dynamic organisation".
Radikor is a GBP 0.9 million specialist distributor of electromechanical components based just south of Amsterdam.

Deltron Radikor's sales office, which employs seven people, and whose managing director is Jacques de Kort, will be supported by Deltron Roxburgh, the Group's European distribution hub in North Lincolnshire.
Neal Turner, Managing Director of Deltron Roxburgh said, "I am looking forward to working with Jacques de Kort and his team and to making key franchised lines like ITT Industries including C and K switches, Toko and Grayhill available in the Netherlands for the first time.
This also gives us yet another foothold in the EU further strengthening our position in becoming totally pan-European".
