New from Deltron Roxburgh are three families of multipole connector handling up to 80A, expanding the ILME industrial interconnection range ILME's CP family provide 6 or 12 poles with screw terminal connection

Current capacity is 35A, specified for 400V operation.

The CX family allows installers to mix 16A/400V contacts with higher-power contacts in the same insert, offering a variety of combinations from eight poles 16A plus 24 poles 10A using crimp contacts, up to four poles 80A plus eight poles 16A with screw terminal contacts.

A third new family, the MIXO range, provides even greater versatility through a modular approach.

Standard inserts, high-current types and even pneumatic contacts are arranged side-by-side to form a single compact block, which fits in a metal frame compatible with standard ILME hoods and enclosures.

Available modules include three-pole inserts rated at 40A/690V, six- pole inserts for 16A/500V, 12-pole inserts for 10A/250V and pneumatic inserts with two or three seats designed for pressures up to 8bar.

As with all the ILME multipole connector family, inserts are fabricated from UL 94 V0 self-extinguishing thermoplastic and offer a choice of silver or gold-plated brass contacts.

Inserts are labelled on both sides to simplify wiring and carry major international conformity marks including CE, UL, CSA and SEV.

Complementing the range of inserts is a comprehensive selection of enclosures providing in general an IP65 protection against dust and moisture ingress.

Heavy-duty hoods are made from die-cast aluminium alloy with epoxy polyester coating to ensure high resistance to mechanical stress and external agents.

The stainless steel closure mechanism uses specially designed levers and springs to ensure excellent sealing, while ILME's gasket design uses vinyl nitrile elastomeric material to guarantee longevity with fuel- and oil-resistance.

The connectors are in conformance with DIN VDE 0627 and EN 60204-1 standards, also complying with DIN 43652 (EN 175-301-801) where appropriate.
