Memory controller enables high-speed networking
BroadLight has used Databahn DDR memory controller IP in a wide range of end product designs, including high-speed networking applications.
Optical networking specialist BroadLight has successfully used Denali's Databahn DDR memory controller IP for use in a wide range of end product designs, including high-speed networking applications.
Denali's Databahn solutions aid BroadLight's developers to quickly design and verify DDR memory systems that meet or exceed OEM high-speed PON (passive optical network) design requirements and time to market windows.
"Memory bandwidth is a significant bottleneck in today's high-performance networking applications", Igor Elkanovich, VP of VLSI at BroadLight.
"Denali's expertise in memory system design and verification has been instrumental to our market leadership and has allowed our designers to rapidly address customer design requirements and networking applications, achieving over 40 GPON worldwide design wins and delivery of several GPON products to our customers".
The Databahn product provides a comprehensive IP solution with configurability for a given customer application.
Denali's Databahn DDR memory controllers offer a powerful, multiport solution with configurable features and functionality to satisfy system performance requirements in terms of bandwidth, latency, and power reduction.
"Today's SoCs require specialised DDR memory systems that must address power, performance and time to market", said Brian Gardner, Vice President of IP products for Denali.
"Our Databahn DDR controller is a market-proven solution that offers a range of programmability and configurability to address application specific performance".
"We are pleased to work with BroadLight and participate in making their customers successful".
