Over-moulded connectors save space and costs
Deutsch offers a space- and cost-saving over-moulded alternative to its traditional boot and adapter back fittings, while also maintaining environmental sealing and strain relief.
Their compact design also makes them ideal for applications where space is at a premium.
John Cottier, Design Engineer at SPA Design, explains why Deutsch's IMC connectors were chosen: "Deutsch's connectors are used on the detector wire which feeds to the control box, so reliability was key.
We were looking for a connector that could crimp onto solid steel wire.
With its solid pins and crimp tool, the IMC Series was ideal".
IMC Series composite connectors are constructed from high temperature resistant Ultem and exceed UL94 Class V0 flammability requirements.
The range is manufactured in two shell sizes and seven contact configurations.
Main features include gold-plated contacts and PCB configurations, a bayonet (type) lock coupling mechanism, and an operating temperature between -55 and +175C.
The range is also offered with overmoulding and a variety of boot and pro-cap accessories.
