Digital View has launched a fully buffered controller for interfacing optimum quality Pal/NTSC analogue video signals to digital TFT LCD panels.

Digital View has launched a fully buffered controller for interfacing optimum quality Pal/NTSC analogue video signals to digital TFT LCD panels The AVP-1280, capable of running VGA to SXGA resolution LCD panels, is a compact (141 x 91mm) single-board solution ideal for professional video/TV monitors

The AVP offers enhanced video quality, combined with a range of advanced features designed to add value to system integrators.

These include: genlock support to ensure refresh rate remains slaved to the master clock in professional video applications; built-in RS232 serial support; enabling control of OSD functions; a run-time counter, keeping track of operational life; and nonlinear image expansion for 16:9 WXGA resolution.

The AVP-1280 joins a core of analogue interface products from Digital View, which covers all the major connectivity options and supports a wide range of standard features.

The AVP-1280 will appeal to professional system integrators looking to reproduce quality video images on flat-panel LCDs.
