Small-footprint highly integrated interface controller with both DVI and analogue RGB inputs offers a wide temperature operating range, high tolerance to vibration and high humidity resistance.

Digital View has added to its HE range of display controllers, specifically designed for applications which use LCDs in harsh environments The new product will be welcomed by anyone designing applications for sectors such as aviation and the military

To meet the demands of harsh environments, equipment must use components which offer significantly higher performance than those used in routine commercial or consumer applications.

The performance levels required of such components are defined by various bodies such as US standards DO160 (Aircraft) and MIL901D.

Digital View's new HE range has been designed to aid compliance with these standards.

The latest product in the HE range is the Digital View HE1400.

A small footprint, highly integrated interface controller with both DVI and analogue RGB inputs, the product offers a wide temperature operating range (-30 to +80C), high tolerance to vibration through the use of locking connectors and low mass capacitors, high humidity resistance through the use of conformal coatings, and an input voltage tolerance of at least +/-25%.

Capable of supporting 4:3 format panels at up to SXGA (1280 x 1024) and 16:9 format panels up to WXGA (1366 x 768), the HE-1400 offers built-in LVDS and dual or single pixel TTL interfaces to address today's current LCD panels.

With a full OSD (on screen display) capability, the product also features DVI-D input and supports a wide range of 4:3 and 16:9 format panels, delivering exceptional video performance via a new generation video controller coupled with guaranteed high reliability.
