The XBee-Pro XSC is ideal for wireless solutions requiring long-range performance in a cost-optimised, easy-to-deploy module solution.

The XBee-Pro XSC is a powerful cost-effective 900MHz embedded RF module from Digi International that provides up to 25km RF line-of-sight transmission in the postage-stamp-sized XBee form factor Customers can now choose 802.15.4, ZigBee and long-range point-to-multipoint platforms in the XBee form factor

"The increased range allows OEMs to deploy simple hub-and-spoke networks over wider distances without using additional repeater nodes".

The XBee-Pro XSC is ideal for wireless solutions requiring long-range performance in a cost-optimised, easy-to-deploy module solution.

Compatible with certain variants of Digi's XStream family of wireless modems and modules, the XBee-Pro XSC is appropriate for use as a pure cable replacement for simple serial communication or as part of a more complex hub-and-spoke network.

Digi offers a complete range of drop-in networking box products that use the XBee form factor.

Therefore the XBee XSC is compatible with Digi gateways that provide XBee-to-Ethernet, Wi-Fi and cellular functionality as well as adapters that provide XBee-to-serial, analogue I/O and digital I/O functionality.

The XBee-Pro XSC is available now for US $57.40 in 1000-unit pricing, with development kits available for US $149.
