RoHS to obsolete entire catalogues overnight
The RoHS Directive has the potential to create a whole new phenomenon of widespread, simultaneous obsolescence at unprecedented levels, claims Paul Chinery, Managing Director of Dionics.
In addition, he holds a formal technical qualification, further underpinning his credentials for this role.
With posts held previously at Farnell and Maplin, and most recently at Arrow where he headed up one of the OEM Sales Teams, Bird will be responsible for driving and delivering a focused sales strategy based around the promotion of Dionics' extensive inventory.
Commenting on his move to Dionics, Bird said "In addition to having genuine stock availability and quality procedures in place, joining an organisation with an IT infrastructure that easily compares to that of some of the largest players in the market is a real confidence giver".
"By harnessing an already successful formula, sales strategy will be focused on communicating Dionics inventory and services to the wider OEM market as well as listening and acting on OEMs real needs and issues - ensuring that Dionics always meets the requirements of its customers", continued Bird.
Paul Chinery, Managing Director at Dionics said "We welcome Alan onboard and are confident that he will play a significant role in securing Dionics continued success".
