Available from Display Solutions, the Aaeon HSB-810A is a half-size board claimed to combine superior features with class-leading performance and low power consumption.

The board has been developed for a wide range of markets where quality multimedia performance is required in a small form factor.

The HSB-810A board integrates support for low-power Pentium-M/Celeron-M processors up to 1.8GHz, with a 400MHz FSB.

This gives faster transfer of data to the processor and removes a major historical bottleneck.

Up to 2Gbyte of DDR333 memory compliments the processor to bring the best out of the excellent multimedia features that the board provides.

The board has an integrated AGP 4X 2D/3D graphics accelerator with LVDS support.

An AGP interface extension is provided for an optional upgrade card.

Dual display is supported, with connections available for both VGA and LCD type screens.

An AC97 audio codec is integrated onto the board to provide high quality sound.

Class-leading connection options are also offered for a board of this size, with dual10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet ports catering for the most up-to-date networking requirements.

Serial I/Os include five USB 2.0 ports, an RS232 port and a configurable serial port that can be set up as RS232, RS422 or RS485.

A parallel port supports SPP, EPP and ECP modes, and an IrDA port is also integrated to handle any other connectivity options that may be required.

Expandability is catered for by the inclusion of a Mini PCI type III slot and as well as an APCI slot and two ATA-100 channels are provided for the connection of ATAPI devices.

This flexible, compact product has been designed to be used in a broad range of applications, including kiosks, digital signage, machine control, high speed simulation, data acquisition and data servers in a wide variety of industries.
