Display Solutions will demonstrate cutting-edge technology from its portfolio of display and information systems at the Retail Solutions Show.
Display Solutions will make its Retail Solutions Show (5th to 7th June 2007, NEC Birmingham) debut this year with demonstrations of cutting-edge technology from its comprehensive portfolio of display and information systems tailored specifically for the retail market The highlight of the stand will be a demonstration of the latest interactive digital signage (iDS) technology made possible with software from Fifth Reality and hardware from ViewSonic

Visitors to the stand will be able to experience the technology for themselves by using the iDS demonstration to enter a competition to win a TFT LCD TV.
Another innovative technology that will be featured on the stand is the ViewSonic V212, a 10in wireless tablet client that enables always-on, anytime mobile connection to business PCs within a wireless infrastructure.
The unit enables instant access to e-mail, internet files or corporate data with the tap of a stylus and can be customised via software for individual company requirements.
The ability to input data into the V212 and have it instantly stored on any networked PC opens up applications within a retail environment with the potential to enhance the shopping experience.
Typically stores have several till points located around the shop.
These can all too often prove to be sources of stress as queues to ask for advice and to pay merge into one.
The V212 enables assistants to take shoppers away from the tills and the queues to guide them through the product selection process by comparing different products' features and prices, making colour or material selection through to the point of purchase - from anywhere within a shop.
Once entered on the V212 the information on the chosen items can be sent directly to a POS terminal where order details can be printed and payment can be made.
