Delta-Direct.co.uk has a new 6kW programmable switched-mode power supply designed to deliver high power with accurate control.

Manufactured by Delta Elektronika, the new SM 6000 series PSU is ideal for intelligent applications requiring controlled DC power.

The new series consists of seven models with output ranges of 0-15V/0-400A, 0-30V/0-200A, 0-45/0-140A, 0-60/0-100A, 0-70V/0-90A, 0-120V/0-50A and 0-300V/0 -20A.

All models operate from three-phase input voltage range 342-457V AC with power factor of 0.98 at 100% load.

Manual adjustment of output voltage and current settings is accomplished using the front-panel meters, buttons and 10-turn potentiometers, while a built-in 15 way D-type connector allows remote programming and monitoring via optional RS232 interface or IEEE488 card.

Filters on the input and output result in very low conducted RFI to the line and load, and ensure that the output voltage is clean and stable with very low ripple.

The SM6000 Series complies with the requirements of EN60950/IEC1010 safety standards, as well as the relevant parts of EN50081, EN55022B and EN61000 for RFI emissions and EN50082 and EN61000 for RFI immunity.

The PSU uses a 200kHz mosfet power conversion technique to deliver a high efficiency of 90% and a long life at full power with no derating.

It is fully burned in for 48 hours at 50C and boasts a high MTBF of 500kh.

Designed either for mounting in a 19in rack or for use as a stand-alone bench unit, this 4U power supply measures 483 x 177 x 504mm, weighs 27kg and has an operating temperature range from -20 to +50C.
