Display Technology has been named UK and Ireland master distributor for Samsung Industrial TFT information displays in public areas.

The Samsung LTI460WS-L01 PIDs (public information displays) incorporate all the advantages and characteristics of Samsung TV TFT displays and provide additional features especially for the use as POI, automation advertising or information displays.

The available 40, 46 and 57in TFT displays have a more robust design than TV displays, promise no burn-in effect or image sticking, even in permanent operation, improved sunlight readability, support for portrait mode and long-term availability.

The new Samsung PIDs fulfil all standards for high-end information displays in many domains of every day life: at retail, in hotels, gastronomy, local and long-distance traffic, finance or recreation sectors as well as in schools or other public facilities.

Despite their size, the 40, 46 and 57in PIDs only need a low power input, have an aspect ratio of 16:9 and an excellent contrast ratio.

In combination with the wide viewing angle these features provide amazing readability.

Via additional characteristics such as an improved colour temperature for better sunlight readability and a portrait mode function for image rotation the advertising or information displays at airports or train stations reach a far better display quality.

Moreover tests with 40,000 hours of permanent operation have proved that the PIDs have no burn-in effect or freeze images.

Compared with TV TFT displays the PIDs have a more robust design, ensuring consistent operation even in rough environments.

All PIDs have long-term availability.

A super high brightness version for outdoor applications will be available soon.
