Retooling upgrades connector quality

In tandem with the new tooling programme the company has also been working with its electroplating subcontractor in the development of an improved finish in both bright and black nickel.
The pricing for these connectors has remained stable for many years and Deltron Emcon market research suggests that the pricing it offers will allow its customers to be competitive within their own markets.
The XLR audio connector range has been subject to a similar retooling programme and in this instance the company has retooled the line connector bodies, the line connector metal back shell, and the panel connector housing.
As with the DIN connectors, the electroplated finish has been improved and is now very much in line with the industry standard.
As well as greatly improving the cast components, the company has also modified the grommet mould tool thus producing a better quality component and in addition the cable clamp has been redesigned and is now more robust.
Deltron Emcon offers two ranges of line connectors, one with a metal backshell, which is ideal for use in hazardous environments, and provides increased shielding, and one with a plastic shell, which offers all the attributes of the major competitors at a competitive price.
