Embedded computer has touch screen operation

The P3 Panel System embedded computer has a flexible expansion option with a total of four free slots, one ISA and three PCI slots

The P3 Panel System from DSM Computer's Infinity series optimises the computer power to match the requirements of the associated application.

Equipped with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, the industry-standard computer can meet the most demanding requirements but as an alternative, the IPC can be equipped with Intel Pentium 4, Pentium M or 1.0GHz Pentium III chips.

The main processor operates with the VIA Apollo CLE266 (VT8623) chip set in conjunction with the 66/100/133MHz front-side bus.

Two DDR slots that can accept 32 to 1024Mbyte memory modules offer adequate memory capacity.

The P3 "96M9315B" Panel System is equipped with a high-quality 15in TFT colour screen; the "96M9317B" model is supplied with a 17in screen.

The maximum resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels for the 15in version and 1080 x 1024 pixels for the 17in version.

The luminance is 250cd/m.

The integrated VIA 2D/ 3D AGP 4x VGA controller with 64Mbyte shared memory ensures a high video quality.

The ELO AccuTouch touchscreen allows individual user interfaces to be realised.

To allow the flexible expansion of the Panel System, four free slots, one ISA and three PCI slots, are present.

An integrated Ethernet controller permits the fast and reliable exchange of process and production data.

The two USB 2.0 ports present permit image transfer and fast data backup.

An LVDS interface and, if required, a DVI interface complete the product offering.

Either two SATA 150 drives or one 3.5in EIDE hard disk with a capacity of 20Gbyte or larger can be used to save large data volumes.

If required, a 3.5in diskette or a CD-ROM drive (slimline) can also be supplied.

A Compact Flash socket is provided for the fast saving of small data volumes.

The P3 Panel System is supplied in a rugged, high-quality industrial housing with VESA screw connection or as a modular packaging system.

The powder-coated front trim panel made of 2mm steel plate or 4mm aluminum can be supplied in customer-specific colours.

As an option, the IPC can be ordered with an aluminum front that conforms with the IP65 degree of protection.
