Top performance from PC/104 processor
The new TPP3 processor board is claimed to be the highest performance PC/104 processor available.
As standard the product offers four RS232 serial channels, four USB Ports, 10/100Base-T Ethernet, DDR SDRAM via a SODIMM socket and a 24bit TFT interface.
The TG533 has been designed to build on the company's strength in the embedded processor field while offering customers three good reasons to buy from a British manufacturer: DSP Design reckons it offers a combination of excellent value, unrivalled customer support and a technical capability that customers can leverage to get their product to market.
Because DSP Design takes a long-term view of customer relationships, the company thought it important to offer customers an early option for meeting the requirements of the RoHS directive.
Although the directive will not be in force until 2006, most embedded projects that are starting today will need to consider the impact of this legislation.
By building a product that is ready for lead-free manufacturing DSP Design offers customers a risk-free route through this potentially difficult transition.
The feature-packed, high performance TG533 has a power requirement of less than 5W, letting customers build high reliability systems with passive cooling.
This makes the product suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including medical, test and measurement, transport and POS.
DSP Design is a Microsoft Gold Level partner, and this product is specified to operate with Microsoft Windows CE and Microsoft XP Embedded Operating Systems.
The GX533 is the first Geode that AMD has committed to manufacture since it acquired the product range from National Semiconductor last year.
Based on AMD's commitment to long term product support, coupled with DSP Design's experience of implementing embedded projects, customers can feel very comfortable using the TG533 in their next project.
