Embedded computer specialist DSP Design has developed a novel Microsoft XP Embedded LaunchPad for TG533 - its latest high performance PCI-104 module.

Integrating its high functionality, low power consumption hardware with the latest embedded operating systems from Microsoft has been central to the successful DSP Design product strategy.

The customer benefits from receiving a high quality embedded computer with a pre-installed and preconfigured operating system, allowing their engineers to achieve rapid prototypes and to reduce time to market.

Customers for this LaunchPad Application Development Kit benefit from a carefully chosen subset of the rich feature set of Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.

DSP Design has optimised the feature set so that it matches the majority of embedded applications targeted by this processor board.

If a project requires further customisation then the company will offer technical assistance from their dedicated Windows Embedded development engineers.

The TG533 LaunchPad for Windows XP Embedded includes almost all of the items needed to begin application development.

The carry case contains a TG533 processor board, USB, CRT and Ethernet interface modules, a keyboard, Ethernet cable, mouse and a comprehensive documentation package.

As well as providing full documentation for the board level products, the LaunchPad includes a developer guide which takes the customer through a set of tutorials with a goal of having their first application running on the board within a day.

The TG533 is a new energy-efficient PCI-104 processor module.

It has a comprehensive feature set including USB, TFT panel, CompactFlash and serial interfaces.

Based on the latest Geode technology from AMD, drawing on years of experience of designing embedded computer products, TG533 offers a feature packed, lead-free-ready processor module from an established leader in embedded computing.
