Low maintenance, economical sealed lead-acid (SLA) batteries aimed at power-critical systems have been added to the Dubilier battery range and are available ex-stock.

Applications such as emergency alarm and security systems will benefit from the range's high quality and reliability.

Unlike conventional batteries, in which electrolyte can flow freely, SLA batteries have a required-minimum quantity of electrolyte impregnated into, and retained by, the positive and negative plates and separators, therefore electrolyte does not flow freely.

Dubilier's range of SLA batteries have a multi cell design and do not need specific gravity checks of the electrolyte, they also do not need water to be added, making maintenance quick and simple.

Manufactured to ISO9002 standards, the SLA range operates at 6V or 12V and has a rated capacity of between 1.2 and 100Ah to give extended service life and further reduce maintenance costs.

As a result they are ideal for back-up power systems in emergency and security equipment.
