Dubilier has a new broad range of voltage-dependent metal-oxide varistors, designed to protect equipment and sensitive components against transient voltage spikes.

A selection of the most popular values is available from stock.

The new high-quality range covers operating voltages from 14 to 745V DC and can offer a significant cost saving over other equivalent devices.

The varistors remain at high impedance during normal standby use, when a voltage spike occurs the impedance rapidly drops to a very low level, enabling the device to absorb the unwanted energy thereby protecting voltage sensitive components against damage.

The new varistors are a plastic encapsulated disc construction with radial leads and flame retardant coating to UL94V0.

The devices are available loose or tape and reeled for use with automatic pick and place machines.
