Italian Duraswitch licensee Tastitalia has won a number of projects for two customers in the commercial foodservice industry.

Italian Duraswitch licensee Tastitalia has won a number of projects for two customers in the commercial foodservice industry.

The newly designed control panels use Duraswitch's patented PushGate pushbutton technology.

Four panels, using from three to eight PushGates each, will be used for commercial coffee machines.

Two additional panels, a 9-key and 14-key panel, are being manufactured for pizza ovens.

Tastitalia has delivered prototype panels and expects to begin production next month.

Paolo Accattoli, owner and President of Tastitalia commented, "We introduced PushGate technology as a solution that helps our customers solve problems faced with metal dome technology.

In each of these applications, we are able to provide a crisp, tactile switch for operators who may be wearing gloves.

Secondly, the PushGate offers higher temperature resistance - particularly important in the case of the pizza oven where the oven door is very close to the switch".

PushGate pushbutton technology combines the best features of both electromechanical and flat panel membrane switches into cost effective, thin design.
