Rafi licenses switch technology

Duraswitch has executed a nonexclusive license agreement with Rafi and Co, one of the largest switch manufacturers in Germany and a leading component and keyboard supplier throughout Europe.

"Rafi is a recognised leader in both the market for individual component parts and in the design of complete data input panels", said Tim Kuhn Vice President Business Development for Duraswitch.

"With manufacturing facilities throughout Europe, Rafi is a very strong partner for Duraswitch".

"We are very excited about this relationship because Rafi is well known for its capabilities in large-scale, total systems integration.

Many of our current licensees specialise in the membrane switch market, so this will greatly expand the reach for our technologies", Kuhn continued.

Under the terms of the agreement, Rafi has the right to market and manufacture products and panels incorporating Duraswitch's patented electronic switch technologies.

The licence agreement also includes Rafi subsidiary, PIM Industrie, a membrane switch manufacturer based in France.
