A new kit from Dynamix Technology helps with surface mount placement equipment characterisation in accordance with the IPC-9850 standard This standard has been developed to standardise the parameters, measurement procedures and the methodologies used for the specification, evaluation and continuing verification of assembly equipment characterisation parameters
It establishes the procedures to characterise and document machine placement capability of surface mount assembly equipment while maintaining a constant relationship between placement accuracy and placement speed.
The IPC-9850-K kit includes a printed copy of the standard and a CD with the support spreadsheet, forms and drawing files (Gerber format) necessary to make the test materials.
