Wire harness testers take control

A Dynalab Test Systems product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Mar 6, 2006

NX wire harness testers feature a control port module that can be set to automatically activate an external device when a test is completed successfully.

When testing wire harnesses, it is frequently important to have the tester automatically activate an external device when a test completes successfully.

Activating a solenoid to release a fixture clamp, or activating a marking device are common examples of this requirement.

Sometimes, it may be important for a tester to respond to an input from an external device such as a sensor.

Dynalab's NX testers solve this problem easily with the control port module.

Dynalab's control port module offers two sets of output contacts.

These contacts are controlled through the NX Editor Workflow to operate at the desired time in the test sequence.

A set of input contacts is also provided so that the NX tester can respond to an input signal from an external device such as a sensor.

This control capability is easily programmed using the NX Editor's Workflow.

Dynalab has published an application note on its website that provides complete details.
