Dynex Semiconductor has signed a global distribution agreement for its line of power semiconductors, including IGBTs, thyristors and diodes, with Richardson Electronics.

Dynex Semiconductor has signed a global distribution agreement for its line of power semiconductors, including IGBTs, thyristors and diodes, with Richardson Electronics.

"Richardson's strategy of partnering with leading manufacturers to provide customer-specific engineering and cost effective solutions is in total agreement with our own philosophy.

With Richardson as a distributor of Dynex power products, both our visibility and customer base will be enhanced, around the world", said Michael LeGoff, President and CEO of Dynex.

Richardson Electronics services markets and applications that include industrial heating, welding, laser, power supply, motor drive and alternative energy.

The firm's capabilities include: engineering solutions, systems integration, prototype design and manufacturing, testing, e-commerce and logistics.

More than 50% of Richardson's products are modified or assembled to customer-specific requirements.

Ross Waite, Business Unit Manager at Richardson Electronics, stated, "The addition of Dynex extends our ability to provide quality engineered solutions to our industrial customers on a global basis.

This line of high-power semiconductors will complement our existing product offerings for the power conversion market".
