The ECB-870 is an all-in-one full-size Pentium 4 SBC designed with the Intel 845 embedded chipset which supports the latest Intel m-PGA 478 Pentium 4 CPU up to 2.2GHz.

The ECB-870 is an all-in-one full-size Pentium 4 SBC designed with the Intel 845 embedded chipset which supports the latest Intel m-PGA 478 Pentium 4 CPU up to 2.2GHz+ at 400MHz FSB.

Also included are: the SiS315 AGP 4X VGA chipset with 128/256bit 2D/3D engine and onboard 32Mbyte independent video memory for high performance video output; dual Intel PCIbus Fast Ethernet controllers; and an M-Systems DiskOnChip socket.

Aimed at mission-critical telecomms and industrial applications, the ECB-870 comes designed with Intel EMD solutions.

These include Intel 845, 82562ET PLC and 82559(ER) 10/100BaseTx Fast Ethernet controller.

Unlike regular commercial solutions, Intel EMD solutions provide higher system stability and longer product supply time (Intel EMD products' typical life cycle is 5 years).

The long product life cycle guarantee is particularly important for systems that are designed to last for many years.

This makes it a perfect solution for networking devices such as firewalls, gateways, routers and e-servers, as well as computer telephony integration equipment such as PBXs, digital loggers etc.

Other onboard features include 400MHz FSB, address/data buffer to enhance the ISAbus driving capacity up to 64mA, dual UDMA 100 IDE channels, two 16C550 compatible serial ports (one RS232, one RS232/422/485), one multimode parallel port, three 168-pin DIMM sockets allowing for up to 3Gbyte of SDRAM to be installed.

The optional onboard Promise PDC20265R hardware PCI to Ultra ATA/100 IDE RAID controller provides two extra UDMA 100 IDE master channels with RAID level 0 striping and level 1 mirroring supported for high volume data storage and fast data backup requirements.
