The latest addition to Evalue's "army" of highly integrated single board computers is the ECM-5610, featuring a size as compact as that of a 5.25in CD-ROM This mini module harbours a powerful Intel Penitum III or Celeron computing engine to easily outrace its competitive peers

The board is accredited to the NSTL Test programme and is CE compliant, ensuring both software compatibility and high reliability even in harsh environments.

Display capabilities are provided by a Via Apollo Pro 133A AGPset and SMI AGP 2X Lynx3DM 2D/3D multimedia accelerator (4Mbyte built-in SGRAM).

Other features include dual LCD interfaces with a convenient NTSC/Pal TV output, AC97 Audio support for sound, and dual PCIbus Ethernet interfaces for instant network access.

Aimed specifically at the booming network/multimedia market for SBCs, the ECM-5610 is the first of its kind with a 5.25in SBC design coupled with dual Intel 82559ER 10/100Base-Tx PCI Ethernet controllers and dual LCD outputs.

All this makes the ECM-5610 the perfect solution for rich applications, ranging from networking devices such as firewalls, gateways, routers, thin servers, and e-boxes, to terminal devices for retail/financial transactions as well as high-end multimedia POS and kiosk terminals.

Other features include: full compliance with the PC133 FSB and Ultra DMA66 IDE specifications; four serial ports and one parallel port; a type I/II Compact Flash socket; a 168-pin DIMM socket accommodating up to 256Mbyte SDRAM; and a PCI slot for future expansion.
