LED light sources are fast becoming the preferred option with vast numbers being used throughout industry, a good example being the automotive industry.

The commercial vehicle market is a large user of illuminated rocker switches.

These can be seen on dashboards and this is an area that is ideal for the direct replacement of filament lamps with LEDs.

There are many advantages of using LEDs over filament lamps, the main one being the incredibly long life.

This is typically 60,000 hours plus compared with 3-6000 hours for filament lamps and means fewer failures, less down time and reduced maintenance costs.

EAO can supply LEDs in many colours including red, green, yellow, blue and white.

The LEDs are available in the usual range of voltages, typically 12 and 24 VDC and in all standard bases including those suitable for the replacement of lamps in rocker switches.
