Encoders for a high-esolution machine interface
New from EAO are the 63Q and 63T Series of Grayhill machine interface optical encoders.
New from EAO are the 63Q and 63T Series of Grayhill machine interface optical encoders.
Designed to monitor the movement of a shaft or motor, these two ranges are extremely compact yet, with a resolution of 1024 cycles per revolution, they match the specification of much larger encoder packages.
The hollow shaft 63T, which accommodates shaft diameters from 6 to 10mm, has an extremely low profile of 22.1mm whereas the miniature 63Q has a diameter of only 20mm.
Typical applications for the 63Q and 63T, which feature high noise immunity, would be in machine tool control, material handling systems, steer by wire and in other situations where high performance, high resolution digital feedback in a very small package is required.
Both the 63Q and the 63T are sealed within conductive fibre housings that provide the equivalent shielding of an all-metal housing.
They are therefore ideally suited for the automotive, factory-automation and industrial-control markets.
The 63Q and the 63T can be customised to meet a wide range of customer requirements.
Therefore, by specifying the desired terminations, resolutions, mounting configurations and shaft coupling and configurations, the customer can obtain a fully bespoke solution.
