Easby Electronics is stocking a new, very-low-cost PCB-mounting relay from Schrack.

Intended for general purpose Protection Class 1 use such as in white goods and other domestic appliances, it is designed as a replacement for "sugar-cube" type relays with a typical footprint reduction of 40%.

The new Schrack PB relay is rated for use up to 10A at 250V AC, with coil versions available at 6, 12 and 24V.

The single Ag/Ni contact configuration is available direct from Easby's shelves as C/O but N/O can be ordered.

The relay takes up only 15 x 15mm on the PCB, has a height above the board of 20mm and weighs just 5g.

UL and VDE approved, the Schrack PB relay is designed for installation in high volume manufactured products, for example to activate valves, pumps, motors, and heating controls in white goods, for other small domestic appliances and for use in heating temperature controllers.
