Easby Electronics is offering new ranges of competitively priced, quality thyristors from Fagor Electronica.

The high-performance, high-reliability SCRs and triacs are available in surface mount and through hole versions making them suitable for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications.

The specialised Fagor Electronica thyristor products, available from Easby, include standard, high-performance, glass-passivated SCRs, sensitive gate SCRs with microamp triggering, and surface mount SCRs.

These are available in a range from 0.8 to 8A at up to 600V.

The Fagor triacs are available as standard and surface mount packages for general purpose switching, as logic-level triacs, and as high commutation triacs.

These are available in 1 to 16A versions for up to 600V.

Fagor diacs are also available.

Consumer applications of these Fagor thyristors include switching operations in alarms, security lights, heaters and disco lights, and in continuous operation for motor control in domestic appliances and for lighting dimmers.

Industrial applications include switching operations in programmable controllers, solid-state relays and industrial switches, and for continuous operation in motor speed control.

Also, automotive applications include switching for burglar alarms and engine igniters.
