A new low-cost BT47W-style relay is capable of switching up to 250V AC.
The through-hole relay is suitable for telecommunications equipment applications as well as a wide range of other uses, such as medical, office and automotive equipment, hi-fi and set top boxes, and measurement and control equipment.
The Tyco Axicom-branded MT2 DIL telecommunications/signal relay, available from Easby, is a dual-inline double-pole change over relay meeting the requirements of FCC Part 68 and ITU-T K20.
It is offered with a choice of sensitivities with nominal coil power consumptions between 150 and 550mW.
The maximum switched continuous current is 2A at up to 220V DC or 250V AC, with a maximum switched power of 62.5VA or 60W.
The case size of the BT47W-style MT2 relay is 20.2 x 10 x 11mm.
It can be used in temperatures ranging from -55 to +85C, with a rated mechanical life of 100 million switching operations.
The contacts are gold-plated AgNi and cadmium free.
The relay is rated to IP67 for board washing.
