High-voltage electrolytics shrink into
PSU designs
A new ultra-low-profile series of high voltage electrolytic capacitors offers a wide operating temperature range.
In line with its strategy to design and manufacture successively miniaturised components, Samwha Electric UK has introduced a new ultra-low-profile series of high voltage electrolytic capacitors, offering a wide operating temperature range The miniaturised, snap-in terminal capacitors have case sizes just 15mm in height, making them ideal for use on a predominantly SMD populated board in limited space applications such as switched mode power supplies

Samwha Electric UK is offering an extended range of large can standard snap-in electrolytic capacitors.
The new snap-in Samwha HT Series capacitors are available in values from 39 to 390uF in the 160 to 400V DC range.
A typical 100uF 400V example has a maximum permissible ripple current of 0.60A RMS at 105C and 120Hz.
Its case size is 15mm high by 35mm diameter.
All capacitors in the HT series offer an operating temperature range of -25 to +105C, with a rated load life of 2kh at 105C.
Samwha Electric UK offers over 70 different series of aluminium electrolytic capacitors, including SMD and large can devices, as well as plastic film and solid electrolytic capacitors.
