Electrolytic capacitors handle hot duties
Two new series of surface mount electrolytic capacitors are suitable for a wide range of long life applications at temperatures up to 105 and 125C.
Samwha Electric UK is offering two new series of surface mount electrolytic capacitors suitable for a wide range of long life applications at temperatures up to 105 and 125C.
These low cost capacitors are all manufactured to comply with the requirements of ISO/TS16949:2002, making the 125C series particularly suitable for the automotive industry.
The new Samwha Electric UC Series of electrolytic capacitors is designed for automated surface mounted insertion on high density PCBs.
With reliable operation at up to 125C and TS16949 certification, they are ideal for automotive applications when PCBs are used in enclosed spaces at high ambient temperatures, or to achieve a longer working life in lower temperature applications.
The series offers parts in the range from 10 to 330uF, 10 to 50V.
Maximum heights are 10.5mm above the board, with footprints of 10.5 x 10.5mm.
The new Samwha Electric CA Series offers long life, chip type, electrolytics with a load life of 5kh at 105C.
These are available in a range of values from 0.1 to 1000uF, 6.3 to 50V.
They are also designed for auto-insertion on high density PCBs.
Maximum heights and footprints are also limited to 10.5 x 10.5 x 10.5mm.
Samwha Electric also offers eight other series of SMD capacitors, which include low impedance series, nonpolarised series and the standard 85C SC Series, which extends from 0.1 to 1000uF, 4 to 100V.
Conducting polymer types are under development.
All Samwha SMD capacitors are supplied on tape for automated population of PCBs.
