A new series of class X2 capacitors is specifically designed for noise suppression applications when used in series with the mains supply in severe ambient conditions.

Easby Electronics is offering a new series of class X2 capacitors specifically designed for noise suppression applications when used in series with the mains supply in severe ambient conditions, or in other applications where a higher long term capacitance stability is required.

The corresponding standard class X2 series, for use in parallel with the mains, offers reduced case sises at very competitive prices.

The new Arcotronics R46S Series Class X2 metallised polypropylene film capacitors use a special silicon-based material to provide added protection against evaporation of the internal metallised film in hot and humid conditions.

This evaporation causes a gradual capacitance reduction.

Many "serial" noise-suppression applications require much better capacitance stability over a long life than "parallel" applications, and this new R46S Series addresses this requirement.

The R46S is offered by Easby in values from 22nF to 10uF 275V AC/560V DC.

The standard Arcotronics R46 Series Class X2 metallised polypropylene film capacitors for "across-the-line" applications are available from Easby at very competitive prices in values from 10nF to 10uF.

Most parts are now available in reduced case sizes, and in addition the series includes a new range of 125C capacitors.
