EBV Elektronik and National Semiconductor have streamlined their quoting process using the advantages of RosettaNet.

EBV Elektronik and National Semiconductor have streamlined their quoting process using the advantages of RosettaNet.

EBV and National Semiconductor are the first companies to implement a RosettaNet based quoting process in Europe in a semiconductor supplier distributor relationship.

Quoting is a manual and time-consuming process for manufacturers and distributors.

Distribution sales teams have to work with different supplier specific systems in order to obtain a quote and confirmation for their customers.

The key benefits deriving from a RosettaNet based quoting are enhanced, optimised and faster information flow within EBV and with the suppliers eliminating risks implied by manual data entry.

The new process includes a new quoting portal at EBV and a single interface for RFQs and quotes using RosettaNet PIPs optimising the workflow between EBV and National Semiconductor.

Most importantly, this new quoting portal saves time enabling all to concentrate more on customer service.

"The new quoting process improves the co-operation between EBV and National", said Rudy Van Parijs, Vice President Technical Development of EBV Elektronik.

"Furthermore, since the workload has been reduced due to this real-time quoting service, more valuable time can be spent with our customers".

EBV will roll out this quoting portal to all EBV European offices, as well as, adding additional suppliers.
