The 19th annual CARTS Europe will be held from 17th to 20th October 2005 at the Diplomat Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic.

The forum opens on Monday 17th October with three seminars.

A technical seminar will cover embedded passives, nanotechnology and conversion to led-free manufacturing.

A morning marketing seminar will cover trends in the marketplace, including Europe's RoHS Directive, and an afternoon session by Dennis Zogbi of Paumanok Publications will provide an overview of the worldwide market for capacitors and resistors.

On Tuesday 18th October, the technical sessions will be launched.

The symposium will be divided into seven sessions: design and construction; impact of lead-free materials; magnetics and resistors; metallic particles in electronics: preparation and applications (tutorial); applications; reliability and testing; and materials and processes.

Exhibits from leading vendors will augment the technical sessions from noon on Tuesday until Wednesday afternoon and during session breaks and lunches.

The two-day exhibition gives manufacturers and suppliers the opportunity to meet one on one with current and potential customers.

CARTS Europe is sponsored by the Electronic Components, Assemblies and Materials Association (ECA) in co-operation with the European Electronics Manufacturers Association (EECA) and the European Passive Components Industry Association (EPCIA).

The CARTS Europe programme is organised by CTI.
