Safewash Extra (SWAX) is a high-powered, water-based screen and stencil cleaner from electrochemical manufacturer Electrolube.

Safewash Extra (SWAX) is a high-powered, water-based screen and stencil cleaner from electrochemical manufacturer Electrolube Suitable for use with both solder paste and surface mount adhesives, it has been formulated to rapidly remove the most hardened adhesive and paste deposits, resulting in swift and efficient screen printing with fewer misprints and reduced wastage

The performance of the multipurpose cleaner has been comprehensively verified on most leading brands of solder paste and adhesives in a range of ultrasonic and pressure wash automated cleaning systems.

Speedprint, the leading manufacturer of innovative stencil print technology, advocates SWAX for use with its latest fully automated stencil cleaner, the Nautilus N800.

"SWAX is an excellent match with the Nautilus machine", comments Mark Huggins, Speedprint's European Sales Manager.

"As a cutting-edge product, the Nautilus is complemented by high-performance cleaning solutions, and SWAX works extremely will with it to produce superb results".

SWAX can be used on all types of screens, stencils, PCBs and accessories in spray, ultrasonic and in-line immersion cleaning machines.

Using SWAX, cleaning and drying process times can easily be optimised to ensure swift production throughput.

A complete cleaning cycle, including rinse and dry, can take as little as 13min.

Residue-free, SWAX has a no-foam, low VOC formula.

It has a low odour, is non-flammable and is biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

Its chemistry also prevents the build up of inorganic deposits in machinery pipework.

Available in 5 and 25 litre containers, the solution is supplied ready for use and requires no further additives or pH adjusters.

SWAX has been formulated as a result of the increasing use of adhesive screen printing by manufacturers in order to improve process times.

The new multipurpose cleaning technology leaves stencils, screens, boards and equipment clean and contaminant-free.
