Novel controller cuts costs of capacitive screens
eGalax has developed a novel low-cost capacitive touch screen controller.
The controller is suitable for use with four-, five, six- and eight-wire touch panels and supports resolutions of 2048 x 2048, with a 160point/s report rate and the facility for four-point calibration.
Besides the new controller solution for Win CE.NET, eGalax provides a full range of controllers for both analogue resistive and capacitive touch panels.
The controller communicates with the PC system directly through RS232, PS2 or USB port.

The driver emulates mouse functions, and supports a wide range of operating systems, including Windows 98, NT4, 2000, Me and XP, DOS, iMac and RedHat Linux.
