eGalax has developed a touch screen controller solution for use in Windows CE.NET platforms The solution supports serial RS232 and USB interfaces for Windows CE.NET and all kinds of touch panel, giving manufacturers of mobile devices a speedy route to integrating touch panel functions into Windows CE.NET based products

The controller is suitable for use with four-, five, six- and eight-wire touch panels and supports resolutions of 2048 x 2048, with a 160point/s report rate and the facility for four-point calibration.

Besides the new controller solution for Win CE.NET, eGalax provides a full range of controllers for both analogue resistive and capacitive touch panels.

The controller communicates with the PC system directly through RS232, PS2 or USB port.

The design is optimised for an accurate, sensitive and quick touch performance as well as an ease of use interface.

The driver emulates mouse functions, and supports a wide range of operating systems, including Windows 98, NT4, 2000, Me and XP, DOS, iMac and RedHat Linux.
