eGalax has developed a touch screen controller solution for Windows XP Tablet PC Edition.

The solution supports serial RS232 and USB interfaces and all varieties of touch panels.

Manufacturers of mobile devices can use this solution immediately to integrate touch panel functions into their products.

Key features of the eGalax controllers include: use with four-, five-, six- and eight-wire touch panels; support for serial RS232 and USB interfaces; 2048 x 2048 resolution; and a 160 point per second report rate.

eGalax provides a full range of controllers for both analogue resistive and capacitive touch panels.

The design is optimised for an accurate, sensitive and quick touch performance as well as an ease of use interface.

The driver emulates mouse functions, and supports a wide range of operating systems, including Windows 98, Windows NT4, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows XP, Win CE, DOS, iMac and RedHat Linux.
