SIM connectors slide in safely

An Elco Europe product story

Elco add another innovative product to its 9162 series SIM connectors, the Slide in SIM.

Elco add another innovative product to its 9162 series SIM connectors, the Slide in SIM.

Unlike SIM blocks which require SIM card guides to aid the insertion, removal and retention of the SIM card, Elco Europe's Slide in SIM design has the unique design feature of having the card guides as an integral part of the moulding, ensuring no damage to the SIM card in normal use while maintaining position and contact pressure.

The stamped gold plated contacts are rated at 0.5A and 5000 operations.

An all plastic design, assuming normal use prevents damage to the card on insertion.

Optional SMT contact size versions include an SMT standard contact width and an increased SMT contact width for greater retention to the PCB.
