Specifically designed to implement PCI Express high-speed technology for desktop PCs and server systems, the 6325 PCI Express card edge connectors from AVX/Elco enable easy upgrades via an "addon graphics card" This comprehensive range of standard, vertical, card edge connectors supports basic x1 speed through to x16 high-speed bandwidth requirements

PCI Express is a new serial I/O technology that is compatible with current PCI software and provides an upgrade path to high-speed serial I/O for PCs and servers based on ATX, microATX or BTX internal architecture.

PCI Express delivers x1 to x16 high speed serial lanes, with each lane supporting a 2.5Gbit/s datarate.

The connectors are available in 36(x1), 64(x4), 98(x8) and 164(x16) contact positions, all based on a 1.00mm pitch.

Consequently, each range can support different bandwidth requirements for an "addon" graphics card.

Each connector size has locating bosses to help with alignment on the motherboard and a moulded polarisation key to prevent illegal insertion of the "addon" card.

A raised ridge at the topside of the connector can be used to lock/retain the "add on" card with a retention clip.

All connectors support PCI Express signal and power requirements as well as the interface between system board and the "addon" card specification.

The 6325 PCI Express card edge connectors are ideal for use in a broad range of computing/data communication applications, including desktop PCs, servers and workstations.
