Loads of choice for power testing
Offered in modular and rack mount configurations, the SL Series of electronic loads provides the widest selection of loads for DC and AC input from 75 to 1800W.
New from Elgar Electronics Corp is the SL Series of electronic loads.
This new series incorporates Elgar's bold industrial design, initiated in the SG Series of programmable DC power supplies, to provide flexibility and ease of use.
Building on Elgar's 15 years of experience providing electronic loads for military applications, the SL Series is the Sorensen brand's first full line, commercially available electronic load product.
"We are very excited about the new SL Series of electronic loads", Bill Ruff, EEC VP of Marketing and Product Management.
"The broad range of models and flexibility significantly expand the range of solutions we can offer our customers for their precision load applications".
Offered in modular and rack mount configurations, the series provides the widest selection of loads for DC and AC input from 75 to 1800W.
Using a modular architecture, the SL Series is easily upgradeable and expandable to adapt to changing requirements assuring the investment gives maximum value over time.
Its flexible control system allows user control through the front panel, GPIB, RS232 and analogue input making the SL Series ideal for a large variety of applications in automatic test equipment, process control, and research.
The SL Series is available in three families, the SLM, SLD and SLH.
The SLM is a single input with AC and DC models.
The SLD has dual DC inputs.
All modules are modular loads that fit into a single- or four-bay mainframe.
The SLH family offers higher power from 600 to 1800W single input loads with five AC and six DC models.
The SL Series is currently offered in 60-500V models with the four-bay chassis and SLH models in a common 4U, 19in rack-mount frame.
This line of electronic loads offers the broadest selection available from one supplier.
Any combination of modules can be configured in the mainframe chassis.
The SL Series also offers flexible control systems through GPIB, RS232, analogue input and front panel control, all standard.
The loads are ideally suited for testing a variety of power sources including batteries and battery chargers, fuel cells, AC/DC and DC/DC convertors, DC/AC inverters and voltage regulator modules (VRMs).
All SL models come with CE Mark declaration, a one-year warranty and the reliability and dependability expected from the Sorensen name.
Pricing for a configured chassis with four modules start at $4870; benchtop units start at $1350 and rack-mount units start at $2950.
