Designs combine a range of complementary technologies including Bluetooth, USB and wearable LCD solutions with Eleksen's ElekTex smart fabric touchpads.

At this year's 3GSM, Eleksen Group is presenting new products and solutions designed for the consumer and enterprise mobility markets.

Eleksen's showcase will include products and reference designs which combine a range of complementary technologies including Bluetooth, USB and wearable LCD solutions with Eleksen's ElekTex smart fabric touchpads.

These solutions are designed to be easily integrated into existing soft-goods products or adapted by mobile device manufacturers, carriers and soft-goods manufacturers for new product designs.

For the consumer market, Eleksen is presenting a range of ready-to-integrate solutions and wearable touchpad designs which integrate into apparel and soft-goods accessories like bags, briefcases and backpacks.

Those on display will include: a five-button Bluetooth mobile phone and iPod remote; five-button ElekTex touchpads and controllers for iPod, SonyEricsson Walkman phones and volume controllers for any audio device; and an advanced iPod control with embedded LEDs.

For the mobile enterprise market, Eleksen is showcasing a range of standard interfaces, electronics and reference designs capable of supporting the requirements of the mobile enterprise.

These include: white-label Bluetooth keyboards for smartphones; USB and Bluetooth keyboard solutions ready for integration into bags and briefcases; interactive keyboard pouch reference designs for UMPCs and tablet computing platforms; and double-sided keyboard designs supporting both standard key layouts on one side and mobile application short-cut keys on the reverse side.

John Collins, VP Business Development and Marketing at Eleksen warns: "Mobile devices are getting smaller and smarter".

"Unfortunately, control interface design for these devices isn't keeping up with the richness of these platforms".

"Eleksen provides a solution to this problem with human scale interactive fabric interfaces which transform the clothes we wear or the bags we carry into extensions of our mobile devices - keyboards embedded in bags, call answering controls from the sleeve of a jacket".

"The solution is elegant, lightweight, low-power and complements mobile lifestyles", he concludes.
