The range of ready-wired CompactPCI chassis from Elma Electronic now spans 20 models across 1, 2 and 4U heights, and offering from two to eight cPCI slots.

In response to demand for lower cost space-saving chassis for the telecomms and data markets, Elma Electronic has expanded its range of ready-wired CompactPCI chassis to include 20 models across 1, 2 and 4U heights, and offering from two to eight cPCI slots.

All models are supplied tested, with backplane and power wiring, and offer a range of pre-installed fans and power supplies, as well as wiring and mounting for peripherals such as disc drives.

Plug-in fan trays and hot swap PSUs are available to minimise in-service downtime, and all units are designed for EN50022 compliance.

Standard versions are available in 300 or 360mm depth, with special reduced width models being suitable for NEBS seismic racks.

All power supplies include universal input and power factor correction, and are offered with 150, 200, 250 and 300W ratings.

N+1 redundancy and hot swapping are also offered.

Models are available with or without rear card slots, and are delivered ready to accept the customer's choice of storage and plug-in cards, offering quick and low risk routes to NEBS and ETSI compliance, as well as wider rack-mount and desktop cPCI applications.

The integration of PICMG 2.0 R3.0 backplanes, electronically controlled fans, drive-bays and power supplies in a range of rugged powder-coated steel chassis with advanced EMC screening, gives designers maximum flexibility to produce minimum space prototypes to tight development schedules, and with minimum risk.
