Leading Austrian gaming systems maker, Amatic Industries is delivering a more realistic and exciting game playing experience thanks to Elo TouchSystems' IntelliTouch technology.

Leading Austrian gaming systems maker, Amatic Industries is delivering a more realistic and exciting game playing experience thanks to Elo TouchSystems' IntelliTouch technology Amatic Industries produces a wide range of multi- and single-player casino-style games and recently selected Elo's IntelliTouch technology, supplied by the company's Netherlands-based distributor Suzo International, to differentiate its games from other touchscreen-based amusement and gaming machines

IntelliTouch technology uses a clear glass overlay and does not require any coating, resulting in better image clarity.

Games from Amatic include Grand Jeu, a multiplayer automatic roulette game that allows up to eight players to place, change or remove bets via Elo's touchscreens.

Josef Hess of Amatic Industries commented, "The touchscreen system is superior to a live setup as every spot on the virtual table can be comfortably reached from every player's seat.

This advantageous feature is emphasised by Grand Jeu's growing popularity".

Both Amatic's casino appliances C3000 and the AWP Game Master are efficiently combined with Elo IntelliTouch as well.

The versatile and exciting bonus features that distinguish Amatic's casino games such as Magic Gold, Bingo Party and Jolly Roger, to name just a few from those of other manufacturers, would not be available without the Elo IntelliTouch touchscreen system.

Josef Hess continued, "In the case of our amusement machine, Touch Town, there is no other way to play than by touchscreen since this device entirely lacks keys or buttons.

Equipped with the excellent high quality graphics for which Amatic is renowned, Touch Town's interesting games offer players a unique gaming experience made all the more enjoyable by Elo's IntelliTouch touchscreen system".

Besides being used in Amatic's gaming systems, Elo's IntelliTouch touchscreens are also used in the company's NetCruiser, a comfortable public access Internet terminal for surfing, chatting, emailing and many other web activities.

"The Elo touchscreen is one of the principal reasons why the NetCruiser terminal has become so popular and successful", concluded Hess.

Elo's IntelliTouch technology is ideal for use with both CRT and LCD displays which need the protection of an overlay.

Only Elo's IntelliTouch uses a clear glass overlay for the best possible optics and offers accurate drift-free performance.

Based on surface wave technology, IntelliTouch delivers superior image clarity, resolution and light transmission.

The clear glass overlay ensures a brighter picture with original colours unaltered since there are no layers or coatings and there are no unwanted reflections because there are no metallic coatings.

Fast, sensitive and particularly accurate for two handed play, IntelliTouch offers 4095 x 4095 resolution with no temperature or humidity drift.

Consequently, players can touch smaller targets accurately every time.

Additionally, there is no need for periodic recalibration and the touchscreen system is unaffected by surrounding metal, stray capacitances, EMI and RFI etc.

IntelliTouch is capable of operating with a finger, gloved hand or any other soft stylus and is resistant to ingress of liquids, through accident, environment or humidity.

This characteristic is especially useful in gaming applications where systems are continually subjected to knocks and bumps from overenthusiastic players.

In addition, the touchscreen's performance is able to contend with scratches that can occur inadvertently or deliberately from players' jewellery or from coins and other metallic objects.
