The surveys - one for field sales reps, one for distributors and one for manufacturers - are designed to elicit respondents' expectations of their supply chain partners.
For instance, the survey of reps asks them to rate the importance of specific expectations of their principals and their principals' distributors.
All three surveys also ask questions regarding perceived attitudes, with the goal of identifying and debunking common misconceptions that reps, distributors and manufacturers have about each other.
The online survey of manufacturers has been launched, and the surveys of reps and distributors will be launched during mid-February.
Even though the survey input will be used as a starting point of discussions during the sales and marketing conference, respondents need not be attending the conference to participate in the survey.
A summary of the results of each survey will be published by ERA and NEDA, along with a report of the expectations and attitudes discussions held during the upcoming conference.
