New from EMC Technology is the SloWave delay line.

New from EMC Technology is the SloWave delay line.

The device joins a growing product line that includes the Thermo pad temperature variable attenuator, the SmartLoad power sensing termination and a broad collection of chip and surface-mount terminations, attenuators and other RF and microwave resistive products.

SloWave is available in frequency ranges from 800MHz to 2.7GHz and in delay times from 3 to 20ns.

Custom delays and frequencies are also available.

SloWave offers numerous advantages over alternative technologies, including two surface mount packaging options (ball-grid and J-lead), an orientation independent footprint, small physical outline (around 6.4cm2), excellent temperature stability of less than 2ppm/degC, low insertion loss of less than 0.3dB/ns, and less than 0.5 degrees peak-peak phase ripple.

The new delay line is ideal for applications in feed-forward amplifier designs, ECM systems, microwave altimeters, radar systems and cellular basestation applications.
