UPS technology notifies system routers about minimum battery levels using a dedicated communication port that is completely isolated from the UPS circuit.
Liebert XD is an adaptive precision cooling platform for applications producing from 5 to 15kW per rack.
Liebert XD offers high flexibility, with easy operation, enabling the addition of precision cooling units in specific areas to target hotspots, where for example the introduction of blade servers has significantly increased heat generation, without having to redefine overall system architecture.
The XD solution uses gas coolant, thus eliminating water circulation inside the datacentre.

Chillers keep quiet about rack cooling
Air-condensed water chillers very produce very little noise, which makes them ideal for urban areas subject to strict acoustic pollution regulations.
The Liebert XD range is made up of several distinct modules.
The Liebert XDC chiller is a specially designed indoor unit that connects directly to the Liebert XDO or XDV systems and provides XD coolant circulation and control, while eliminating condensation.
The Liebert XDP pumping unit, designed for use in locations where a chilled water system is already available, isolates the building chilled water circuit from the XD Coolant circuit and circulates coolant to the Liebert XDO or XDV, eliminating condensation.
The Liebert XDO overhead cooling module operates in hot aisle/cold aisle architecture, drawing in hot air from the hot aisle and discharging cool air into the cold aisle at the temperature required for optimum operation of the equipment.
The Liebert XDV vertical top cooler, which again is for hot aisle/cold aisle layouts, mounts vertically above or on to the IT rack enclosure, drawing hot air from inside the cabinet or from the hot aisle and discharging cool air down to the cold isle.
The Liebert XDA air flow enhancer is a light-weight fan unit that mounts on the exhaust side of the enclosure and pulls air through, eliminating internal hot spots in densely loaded racks, moving heat away from the IT equipment to the hot aisle where it is handled by the cooling system.
The Liebert XDFN is an all-in-one-cabinet solution for high-density systems producing up to 25kW per rack.
With built in precision cooling, power protection and distribution, offering full redundancy and backup ventilation, server location rack, monitoring and fire extinguishing system, Liebert XDFN cools the servers not the room, each cabinet working independently.
Liebert XDFN features an innovative 32bit microprocessor controller enabling integration in an SNMP monitoring system or browsing via the web.
In addition, the cooling module is equipped with humidity control.
Also featured is a fire extinguishing system, based on Vesda laser focus technology, that continuously monitors the air inside both the rack and cooling module, introducing an inert gas to reduce the oxygen level if smoke is detected.
The Liebert XDFN self-contained cooling module capacity is regulated by the use of digital control technology, an innovative solution exclusively offered by Liebert.
The cooling module is available in different configurations, including chilled water on demand.
The refrigerant used is R407C.
