Chillers keep quiet about rack cooling
Air-condensed water chillers very produce very little noise, which makes them ideal for urban areas subject to strict acoustic pollution regulations.
The Liebert HPC-L is the first in an innovative family of air-condensed water chillers featuring over 60 models, four noise emission versions, two ecological coolant types, and power ratings from 700 to 1600kW.
Characterised by high performance and compact dimensions, Liebert HPC-L meets all energy saving and environmental protection demands.
At its core, the system is equipped with two semi-tight screw compressors that ensure high reliability and excellent performance not only at full load, but also when running at partial load.
The key strength of Liebert HPC-L is the lack of vibration, combined with very low noise, which makes it ideal for urban areas subject to strict acoustic pollution regulations.
The Liebert HPC-L is available with incorporated free cooling module that, using cold external temperatures in the winter season to cool water, provides for significant energy saving by avoiding the operation of compressors.
This version is particularly suitable for the conditioning of data centres, where there is a constant search for solutions to reduce total costs of operation.
The new chiller family can also optimise its energy saving capacity through Supersaver, which reduces system energy consumption by combining the chiller's logic and set point with the logic and set point of Emerson Network Power internal conditioning units.
Energy saving is significant in terms of environmental protection, as it results in the reduction of CO2 emissions from the equipment.
The chiller units of the new range are provided with a control that allows temperature and pressure thresholds, as well as unit functions, to be programmed through a patented Hirobus system.
The control can also communicate with other chiller units via LAN, so as to optimise operation and show all operating parameters, alarms and temperature history through a graphical display.
Finally, the units can be connected to higher-level control and supervision systems, in order to issue SMS to signal system alarms (SMM), monitor and maintain the system remotely (Hirovisor IP software) and integrate the units into the most popular global management systems like Mobdus, Lonworks or SNMP.
