Compact locks suit smaller enclosures

Emka 1022 series quarter-turn locks have the style and performance of their big brothers in a smaller package to suit smaller cabinets, wall boxes, access flaps or other factory equipment.

Emka 1022 series quarter-turn locks have the style and performance of their big brothers in a smaller package to suit smaller cabinets, wall boxes, access flaps or other factory equipment They are ideal for situations where space and design limitations call for easy operation while maintaining a good level of rugged serviceability

Now they are available with additional sealing rings for environments where protection to IP65 is required - in heavy dust environments a special dust cap can further enhance sealing performance.

The 1022 series are quick to fit and utilise either a standard 14mm square hole for nut fixing, or a 15 x 18mm double D hole for spring fix lock bodies where extra quick installation is called for in production circumstances (not to IP65).

The 1022 series can be supplied with cylinder locks or inserts to take square and triangular keys or slotted for screwdriver operation.

In many cases the wing knob option is preferred because it permits a greater turning force capability for better gasket pull-down and improved sealing.

Also, the wing knob variant provides easier operation, eg for gloved hands.

The locking variation is complemented by a full range of cams, which enable installers to accommodate varying door/frame depths and gasket thicknesses from 7.5 to 19.5mm total depth.

Because these locks are likely to be used in a wide range of applications, Emka offers the 1022 series in zinc die with black powder coat or chrome finish, also in stainless steel, as well as reinforced polyamide. Request a free brochure from EMKA UK ...
