Embest Info and Tech Co has introduced another high-end ARM development platform based on Intel XScale PXA270 processor after its release of a PXA255 board last year.

The Embest PXA270DB evaluation board provides an ideal solution for PXA270 development on Windows CE 4.2, which allows designers to cut time to market and save costs.

The board uses all the features of the Intel XScale PXA270 processor which is able to work at up to 520MHz.

The new features of the PXA270 processor such as wireless MMX technology and Quick Capture technology have greatly enhanced the high-performance multimedia technology handling capacity of the board.

Its SpeedStep power manager technology provides a quantum leap forward in low power operation while maintaining the highest levels of performance.

The unit features a flexible design using a CPU board and an expansion board, making it easy for users to update and upgrade their boards.

It includes a 3.5in TFT LCD and a wide range of interfaces including full function UART, Bluetooth UART, SD/MMC/SDIO, CF, UART for TTL, LCD, power, USB, JTAG, audio, camera, keyboard, bus expansion etc The code support package with this board includes a Windows CE 4.2.NET BSP and driver source code.

The board can be used for different development requirements and applications like PDA, TPC, PMP, audio systems, fingerprint identification, car navigation, media players, industrial control etc.
